  1. Definition:
    The purpose of the charter describes provides the reader with a concise statement of the central mission of the focus group. To help set priorities, the statement of purpose defines the stakeholders and outlines what the team wishes to accomplish.
  2. Purpose:
    The purpose of the technology focus group is to establish a school technology roadmap and planning process for technology that will enhance the full learning potential for students, facilitate parent involvement and communication with the school, and deliver efficient and effective ways for faculty to communicate, teach, and manage workload.

    Specifically, the following areas of scope are included in this goal:

    The purpose of the charter describes the fundamental purpose of the document. It provides key contents of the deliverables associated with the charter, providing guidance in decision making for particular actions within the effort.
  2. Purpose:
    The purpose of the technology focus group is to establish a school technology roadmap and planning process that will enhance learning for students. Toward that goal, the roadmap must be aligned with the operating plan and budget of all the strategic initiatives of the school and the process should include an annual review cycle of technology needs for students, staff, and the broader community inclusive of the following areas of scope:
